Samson's Mane

HaNasi Forest near Beit Shemesh (Israel) is in close proximity to the historical birth and residence of the Biblical hero - Samson, famous for his exceptional physical strength and a long mane that was never cut.
The sculpture consists of several elements "cutting" trough a natural stone slope
This composition of marble stylized pillars resembles to a giant comb reminding of the story of Delilah combing and eventually cutting Samson's mane.
Materials - white marble, bronze.
This sculpture was created during an outdoor stone sculpture symposium aiming to create interesting visual ques along the HaNasi forest trail.
The sculpture was vandalized and never restored.
